The ‘One More Time’ group were scheduled to meet the guitarist and producer – who has worked with David Bowie and Michael Jackson – this week to discuss new material.

Nile told Houston.culturemap.com this weekend: “Those guys are great. They’re coming to my apartment on Monday and we’re going to talk about making a new record together.”

Daft Punk’s last studio album was ‘Human After All’ in 2005, since which they have only released a live album, ‘Alive 2007′ and the largely orchestral soundtrack to the film ‘Tron: Legacy’.

The duo – Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Tomas Bangalter – said making the soundtrack was their biggest challenge to date, but they learned a great deal from it.

Tomas said: “Coming from our background of making electronic music in a small bedroom, then ending up having our music performed by a 90-piece orchestra – we are lucky to have had the opportunity to experience some powerful moments artistically over the years, but recording this orchestra was a very intense experience.”

“In the past, we have worked with clashing genres like disco and heavy metal, and here we would do it with film scores. This idea of the ultimate retro-futurism.”

Kylie Minogue has a nutter fan on Twitter.

She has posted a message on Twitter to alert her other fans that she has been receiving threats via Twitter.

‘I love 1,033,861 of you LOVERS, but 1 is not a lover, just a deluded weirdo making threat #andthatdoesnotmakeyouspecial SO..police alerted,’ she posted.

Police will investigate the alleged threats.

Kylie will head home to Australia next month where she will perform for the Mardi Gras in Sydney and have her own float in the parade.

Katy Perry partied until 3am with the New York Giants after they won the Super Bowl.

Katy performed on DirectTV’s Super Saturday Night, ahead of Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday. She was in great spirits and hinted she was ready for a fresh start following the end of her marriage to Russell Brand after telling the crowd ‘everything feels brand new’.

Katy stayed on in Indianapolis to watch the New York Giants triumph over New England Patriots on Sunday. She then helped the American football stars celebrate their win at the team’s hotel.

‘The Giants celebrated their Super Bowl victory Sunday with Katy Perry. The team partied with the pop star until 3am in a second-floor function room at the team’s hotel, the Marriott, in downtown Indianapolis,’ reports New York Post. ‘Spies said Perry was spotted going up to team co-owner Steve Tisch and congratulating him, and also chatting with tight ends Travis Beckum and Jake Ballard.’

Katy is clearly developing an interest in American football.

She has been romantically linked to Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. During her energetic performance on Saturday she dedicated her sexy song Peacock to the NFL star.

Chris Brown is set to take to the stage at the Grammy Awards this Sunday.

The performance would mark his return to the awards ceremony after three years of absence following his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, the R&B star is reportedly preparing to sing at the prestigious show.

‘A source told the Associated Press on Monday that Brown will hit the stage at Sunday’s show. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because Brown’s performance has not been officially announced,’ USA Today reports.

His current record F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies) is nominated for three awards, including best R&B album.

In 2009, Chris’ career plummeted after he admitted to attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna after a pre-Grammy party.

He is still serving his five-year probation for felony attack.

He has not attended the Grammys since then despite being nominated for three awards in 2011.

Rihanna is also set to perform at the ceremony.

The We Found Love singer is nominated for four awards, including the coveted album of the year trophy.

Last February, the 23-year-old eased the conditions of a restraining order against Chris that banned her ex from coming closer than 50 yards. He is now allowed to come within ten yards of the Bajan beauty if they are at a music event.

The Grammys will air live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has come in for criticism after he described Adele as “too fat”.

The designer, who is head of the fashion house of Chanel, said that though he thought the ’21′ singer had “divine voice”, she was “a little too fat”. He did also that he preferred her to Lana Del Rey and Florence Welch though.

He told Metro New York when asked what he thought of Lana Del Rey:

I prefer Adele and Florence Welch [to Del Rey]. But as a modern singer, she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice. Lana Del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She’s not alone with implants.
The designer’s comments have been heavily criticized, with Curves And Chaos, a Los Angeles based blog for full figured women, writing of Lagerfeld’s comments: “Are you freaking kidding me? We’re done with him and Chanel as long as he’s involved with them”.

American PR guru Kelly Cutrone also hit out at Lagerfeld, writing: “If you love Adele then boycott Chanel – Boo Karl”.

Lagerfeld also said that he wasn’t shocked by MIA’s display of her middle finger during the Super Bowl as “everybody does that”.

He said of this: “Nowadays people give the middle finger quite quickly – it’s not the best behaviour. Everybody does that, what’s new about that? It’s just become a bad habit. People in magazines are 50% bimbo and 50% pregnant women.”

Madonna made the stars of LMFAO ‘sweat’ during Super Bowl rehearsals.

The electro pop duo took to the stage at Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVI, where the Queen of Pop performed a highly-anticipated 12-minute medley during the half-time show.

LMFAO ‘ comprising of Redfoo and SkyBlu ‘ say the 53-year-old songstress made them nervous ahead of the event.

“Every time she’d come over at practice, I was like.hands sweating, like yeah, Madonna,” SkyBlu admitted to ET Online.

Redfoo also agreed that it was a great experience interacting with the global superstar. He gushed about teaming up with the legendary performer.

‘She’s amazing,” he said.”[It was] such an amazing experience working with her.”

The duo performed a remix of their hit Sexy and I Know It at the sporting event.

Madonna was also joined on stage by Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. as the trio performed new track Give Me All Your Luvin’. M.I.A. was seen flipping up her middle finger to a cameraman, which outraged viewers.

Brian McCarthy, spokesperson for the NFL, has issued a statement apologising for the incident.

“The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing and we apologise to our fans,’ he said.

Meanwhile, the directors that worked on Madonna’s Give Me All Your Luvin’ promo have insisted that the American football themed video is purely incidental. The All-American promo accompanying the song was released two days ahead of Madonna’s Super Bowl performance, but Megaforce claim the idea was conceived separately.

“I think the track has something to do with cheerleading. It’s pretty clear that the beginning is a kind of cheering [anthem],” Megaforce’s Clement Gallet told MTV News. “With this one, it felt like there was no point to bring it somewhere else [in terms of visuals] other than where it was. I don’t think our cheerleaders are really obvious.

“We were aware that this video, this track was supposed to be aired during the Super Bowl, but we never felt or we were never even asked to make something in relation to the Super Bowl. And I think it’s just – it’s not a coincidence, we had the Super Bowl in mind – but we are not doing a video about Super Bowl.”

Katy Perry has hinted she’s ready to move on from Russell Brand, telling a pre-Super Bowl crowd that she feels ‘brand new’.

The songstress has rarely appeared in public since Russell announced their impending divorce at the end of December. However, the star looked in good spirits as she performed on DirectTV’s Super Saturday Night, ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVI.

Katy addressed the crowds at the event and hinted about her positive frame of mind following her highly-publicised relationship breakdown.

‘We just finished 125 tour dates. So everything feels brand new,’ she told the audience, before beginning her song The One That Got Away.

Katy also seemingly acknowledged rumours she is romantically involved with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

The stunning star dedicated her song Peacock to the NFL sports star.

‘This goes out to Tim Tebow,’ she said.

Following her performance, Katy enjoyed her night in a VIP area at Victory Field in Indianapolis. Onlookers told the New York Post that the star ‘appeared to be having a really good time. She was smiling and laughing’.

Reports recently emerged that Katy’s estranged husband has been in contact with Katy lookalike Zooey Deschanel.

The British comedian is said to admire Zooey’s talent, and has been sending text messages over the past few weeks in a bid to meet up.

‘Russell is a big fan of Zooey and would love to work with her in the future. He’s been in contact, asking to meet up,’ a source told Closer magazine.

‘He thinks she’s hysterically funny and cute too. He loves her quirky sense of humour. There seems to be a spark there.’

Calvin Harris was the UK’s most successful songwriter of 2011, according to research carried out by Music Week.

The dance producer released two hit singles ‘Bounce’ and ‘Feel So Close’, which both reached Number Two in the Official UK Singles Chart, co-wrote Rihanna’s massive hit ‘We Found Love’ and was also named as a co-writer on Chris Brown’s single ‘Yeah 3X’ after he complained it sounded similar to his track ‘I’m Not Alone’.

Songwriting trio The Smeezingtons, which includes Bruno Mars, were the second most successful, having written hits for Eminem’s ‘Bad Meets Evil’ EP, Snoop Dogg and the entirety of Mars’ extremely successful album ‘Doo Wops And Hooligans’.

Adele was third, Ed Sheeran fourth and Norwegian songwriters Stargate, who penned hits for Rihanna, Alexis Jordan and Wiz Khalifa during 2011, were fifth, with Ester Dean, who has written for the likes of Katy Perry and Pussycat Dolls in sixth.

Lady Gaga was seventh, with frequent Jessie J collaborator Claude Kelly in eighth, Welsh composer Paul Mealor, who wrote the Military Wives’ Christmas Number One ‘Wherever You Are’ was ninth and Ke$ha/Kelly Clarkson songwriter Dr Luke was 10th

The Italian restaurant opened this week in New York by Lady Gaga’s father Joe Germanotta has been slammed by a food critic who snuck into the opening night.

Press had been banned from attending the launch of Joanne, but Steve Cuozzo of the New York Post managed to get inside and taste the meals, which he compared to ‘airline food’.

In a review entitled ‘You’ll gag on the food at Gaga’s', Cuozzo wrote that the appetisers took almost an hour to arrive and that “Grilled calamari with bitter greens and radicchio were the worst I’ve had in a lifetime of squid-mongering, the salad unseasoned and the calamari like leather.”

He started the piece by writing: “Forget ‘The Edge of Glory’ – on opening night, ‘Lady Gaga restaurant’ Joanne on West 68th Street was close to the edge of collapse… You don’t expect a brand-new eatery to be running on all cylinders. But Joanne, owned by the pop superstar’s parents, last night was running mainly on acrid-smelling burnt vinegar wafting intermittently through the raucous dining room.”

Lady Gaga was not present at the opening on Wednesday (February 1), but her musical collaborator Tony Bennett was.

Last month it was reported that Lady Gaga had apparently been advising Joe Germanotta on the menu at Joanne, which includes a lasagne with 10 layers, doughnuts made with Nutella, mini-martini cocktails and ‘Grandma Rosie’s Meatballs’, according to The Sun.

Lady Gaga also created art for the walls of the restaurant, which Joe Germanotta is running with American celebrity chef and former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey, Art Smith.
