Shazam®, the world’s leading media engagement company, today announced its predictions for the songs everyone will be listening and dancing to as well as singing out loud this summer.

The list includes newly released singles that the Shazam Tag Charts indicate will be the next big hits as well as songs that are currently moving up the national charts. The list is ranked based on the number of tags that the single is currently receiving, and other factors.

1) Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ is probably the most hyped track this season. The fact that it has received four million tags and has been No. 1 on the Shazam Charts in 91 countries shows that it’s living up to expectations.
2) Like Gotye last year, Passenger’s ‘Let Her Go’ picked up traction in Australia at the start of the year before hitting No. 1 in 13 international Shazam charts. With 3.8 million tags already, expect it to go stratospheric when it breaks in America.
3) Since being used in the TV show, Girls, Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’ has been a permanent fixture in the Shazam charts. Its daily interactions are still building, so don’t expect this track to disappear anytime soon!
4) Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ seems to be on a steep upward trajectory. It has already garnered 4.2 million tags but hasn’t yet reached its peak.
5) will.i.am’s previous singles ‘Scream and Shout’ and ‘#thatPower’ were huge with Shazam. His new track ‘Fall Down’ with Miley Cyrus already seems to be going down well with Shazamers.
6) Krewella’s euphoric single ‘Alive’ has been a mainstay of the dance-focused Shazam Beatport chart. With tags climbing worldwide, this looks like it could be a contender for the summer club anthem.
7) From the soundtrack to The Great Gatsby, Lana Del Rey’s ‘Young and Beautiful’ is already showing traction on the Shazam charts.
8) Janelle Monae’s new album should be one of the summer’s most popular. The first single with Erykah Badu, ‘Q.U.E.E.N’ is already receiving a lot of tags.
9) Shazam regional tags show that Rich Gang’s ‘Tapout’ has been trending well in the Southern U.S.
10) Chance the Rapper’s ‘Interlude’ is the most Shazam’d song from one of the most critically acclaimed mixtapes of the summer.

Rihanna has reportedly become the youngest artist to headline at the national stadium of France.

The 25-year-old Pour It Up singer is currently trekking across the globe on her Diamonds World Tour.

Saturday night the star took the stage in the commune of Saint-Denis just north of Paris in front of thousands of fans.

According to many of her followers Rihanna’s performance was one for the history books.

“Rihanna is also the youngest person to ever headline Stade De France,’ she re-tweeted a follower before she the stage (sic).

A post on the Stade de France website supports the claim.

A spokesperson last year noted Lady Gaga ‘will be the youngest artist ever to tread the stage at the stadium’ ahead of her September 22 performance at age 26.

A list of performers at the venue within the past eight months does not reveal a headlining act younger than Rihanna.

A spokesperson from Stade de France was not available for comment.

Rihanna meanwhile re-tweeted another message noting she is now one of only three black artists to headline a show at the famous venue.

“Tina Turner, Prince, and Rihanna are the only black artist to headline Stade De France,’ a user with the handle Vaun wrote (sic).

Tina performed a show on her Twenty Four Seven Tour at the venue in July 2000. Prince gave a concert for his Welcome 2 America Euro 2011 Tour at Stade De France in July 2011.

Rihanna was clearly amped to follow in their footsteps.

‘That damn Rihanna reign!!! #justwontletup #StadeDeFrance #STADIUMSTATUS,’ she tweeted after performing to the packed crowd.

The singer will continue her tour of Europe through the end of July.

She will take six weeks off before heading to Asia mid-September, followed by Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Middle East and North America.

Rihanna’s final show is scheduled for November 15 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson have “serious chemistry”.

The stars have been spotted together several times in the past few months, with Katy said to be helping Robert get over his split from Kristen Stewart. They partied at the Coachella music festival and even reportedly crashed a wedding rehearsal together.

“Katy and Robert have been spending a lot of time together recently and it”s safe to say there is serious chemistry,” a source told British magazine Grazia.

It has been claimed that over the weekend they attended the wedding rehearsal, they had travelled to Katy’s hometown of Santa Barbara, California, to meet her parents.

It seems the singer could be developing real feelings for Robert after deciding she wanted him to meet her mom and dad.

“Katy thought the break from LA would do Rob good, and since he was no longer living with Kristen, she didn”t hesitate in inviting him to join her,” the source added.

Although Katy loves spending time with the Twilight hunk, she doesn”t want a serious romance at the moment.

The 28-year-old has been in an on-off romance with musician John Mayer and is divorced from British comic Russell Brand following a whirlwind relationship.

“Katy doesn”t want to ruin their friendship by rushing into anything,” the source explained. “Rob really likes Katy. There”s always been a bit of a spark between them.”

Robert is believed to have split from Kristen last month and has moved his things out of their shared home. According to reports, the Twilight stars struggled to move on after Kristen was unfaithful last year with married director Rupert Sanders.

Singer Tulisa Contostavlos has been arrested by police after having allegedly supplied class A drugs to an undercover reporter.

Her arrest and also that of a 35-year-old man for the same offence follows police confirmation they had “received information concerning the alleged supply of illegal drugs at a central London location”.

It comes after a report in a tabloid newspaper that implied Contostavlos had acted as the middleman introducing a journalist to an alleged drug supplier.

The 24-year-old is said to have claimed “Half my phone book sells it. Of course I can get it for you. Half the guys I know are drug dealers.”

The Sun On Sunday sting says that half an ounce of cocaine was transacted following a deal that took place at London’s Dorchester Hotel.

Tulisa Contostavlos has yet to comment on her arrest.

The singer found fame with the band N-Dubz and was as a judge on The X Factor for two series.

Both Contostavlos and the 35-year-old man remain in custody at a police station in central London.

Britney Spears shocked a number of residents in her hometown over the weekend with her presence.

The 31-year-old superstar visited Louisiana to watch her sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter Maddie perform in Lemoine Academy of Dance’s recital on Saturday.

According to Radar Online Britney felt right at home in the audience and was ‘happily smiling’ throughout the affair.

When a young student did a routine to her song Toxic Britney sang along, dancer Matthias Albrecht revealed to the website.

Britney even hung out backstage with dancers and presented one of the instructors with a flower bouquet onstage.

Following the recital, Britney went to exercise at the North Cypress Gym in Hammond, Louisiana.

Apparently fellow gym-goers were absolutely taken aback to see the superstar working out beside them.

‘She was running on a treadmill all by herself, like any other person,’ an eyewitness told Radar.

‘She looked hotter in person! Everyone was excited to see her.’

She left on Sunday, with Jamie Lynn and her fiancé Jamie Watson sending her off at the New Orleans airport.

Britney is currently in a romantic relationship with 27-year-old legal researcher David Lucado. The pair have been together for several months since her split from former fiancé Jason Trawick back in January. Apparently Britney and David are doing well, as they spent Memorial Day weekend vacationing together in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Ke$ha avoids reading internet commentary on her wild antics because it makes her anxious.

The Warrior singer recently aired her six-episode documentary My Crazy Beautiful Life on MTV.

The series was filmed by her journalist brother Lagan Sebert and captures two-and-a-half years of bizarre behaviour, including Ke$ha drinking her own urine.

Despite insults about her conduct, Ke$ha is happy she revealed intimate details about her life, pee and all.

“No. I know you want me to say I wish I didn”t drink my pee, but I”m happy I did,” Ke$ha told MTV News. “I don”t go online because it gives me anxiety. I know everyone”s always talking about ”How dare I fill-in-the-blank.” [But] It”s my pee!”

While Ke$ha premiered her new music video for single Crazy Kids on MTV last week her brother Lagan followed her around with a camera.

She is coy as to whether another documentary style film on her life is currently in the works.

“I don”t know MTV; would you guys like a second season?” she laughed. “We have so much amazing footage that didn”t make it, you don”t understand. [Lagan] followed me around for two-and-a-half years … There was one moment after a show I played, where I hit some guy in the eyeball with a piece of cauliflower. We just don”t have enough hours to show all of it.”

Nicki Minaj has revealed that she also won’t be returning to American Idol.

The rapper has been feuding with co-judge Mariah Carey throughout the entire twelfth season of the TV singing competition.

Apparently the two divas simply could not cease catfighting due to diametrically opposed views.

Mariah confirmed on Twitter she was abandoning her post on the programme. Just two hours later Nicki did the same.

‘Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn”t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!! (sic)’ Nicki wrote to her over 16 million followers.

The star released her last album Roman Reloaded in spring 2012.

American Idol producers at Fox, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment are supportive of her choice to concentrate on other professional endeavours.

‘Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to American Idol and who had a tremendous positive impact on so many contestants this season,’ executives released in a joint statement. ‘Given her extremely busy career, we understand and respect her decision and wish her the best.’

It has been reported that American Idol has suffered a dismal decline in ratings with figures down 20 per cent year on year.

Three out of the four judges have bowed out of the forthcoming season.

Now that Nicki, Mariah and Randy Jackson have confirmed their departure, Keith Urban is the last remaining judge who has not announced his future plans.

Katy Perry and her ex-boyfriend John Mayer may have reignited their passionate romance.

The musicians broke up for the second time in March after dating on-and-off since last summer.

Apparently John was one of the guests at Katy’s Memorial Day barbecue held at her Hollywood Hills home on Monday.

The former flames’ flirtatiousness was obvious to partygoers.

“They seem to be back together — or back together-ish,” an onlooker told Us Weekly magazine. “They were very flirty and having a really good time together. They have good chemistry.

Another insider noted ‘they were definitely friendly’ at the bash.

In recent weeks Katy has been romantically linked to Los Angeles based entertainment agent Michael Kives.

Although it is rumoured Michael wants to pursue something serious with Katy, the star reportedly can’t get over John.

‘She is still calling John because she can’t let go. And he still reaches out to her too because he loves to string his exes along,’ an insider told Star magazine recently.

Notorious lothario John was apparently worried about how fast his relationship with Katy was going. He had met her parents and there were even reports the couple were planning to get engaged.

Katy was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand, but they officially divorced in February 2012.

John has dated a string of famous beauties including Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Aniston.

Kelly Osbourne regards Lady Gaga as ‘a great big hypocrite’.

The Fashion Police TV presenter and the Born This Way singer engaged in a Twitter feud last year.

The hostility arose after Kelly poked fun of Gaga for wearing a burka at London Fashion Week during an appearance on UK television show Alan Carr: Chatty Man.

Gaga’s fans inundated Kelly with cruel taunts and death threats. Kelly’s mother Sharon got involved and wrote Gaga’s manager an email asking him to step in.

Gaga responded with her open letter to Kelly, calling for her to be a better role model and blaming her for ‘breeding negativity’ on Fashion Police.

Kelly reveals her view of Gaga remains unfavourable following the conflict.

“I loved Lady Gaga. I totally believed in everything she stood for, until I realised she”s a great big hypocrite. Don”t say, ”When you see bullying, intervene,” while letting your fans send me death threats. If my fans did that, I would not stand for it,’ she told the June issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.

Gaga is the founder of the Born This Way Foundation, an anti-bullying charity.

Kelly is convinced the musician is fuelled by self-interest.

‘You can say whatever you want with your millions of monsters. I know the truth,’ Kelly said.

‘Your bells and whistles mean nothing to me. You”re feeding on the freaks and geeks to further your career? Do you really care about the gay community? Because if you did, you”d stand up for it more than you do.”
