Madonna apparently sent a chaperone to accompany her daughter on a date.

It was recently claimed that the singer is finding it difficult to accept that her 16-year-old daughter Lourdes is growing up and is unhappy about her having a boyfriend.

Lourdes is currently dating Homeland actor Timothée Chalamet and it seems Madonna has finally allowed the teenager to spend time with him without parental supervision. However, the star wanted to make sure the date went smoothly, so sent along one of her bodyguards.

“The Material Girl sent a burly chaperone to keep a very close eye on the young couple,” reports New York Post.

Lourdes and Timothée, who attend the same New York performing arts school, were spotted at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ restaurant on Saturday night.

As the couple enjoyed each other’s company at a corner table, the minder sat at another table and “never took his eyes off of them”.

‘They were leaning close together to talk before food came. He was making her laugh a lot,’ a source revealed.

During the evening, 17-year-old Timothée was seen reaching for Lourdes’ hand as they flirted.

The teenagers split the $51 bill, before the bodyguard accompanied them both into a chauffeured car.

Madonna recently spoke out about Lourdes – whose father is personal trainer Carlos Leon – entering the dating scene.
“She has a very nice boyfriend,” she told Extra with a smile.

Madonna, 54, is renowned for being a hard-line mother. Despite her celebrity status she doesn’t spoil her four kids, making them clean up after themselves and monitoring their homework and wardrobe choices.

It was recently reported the star is just as determined to make sure her daughter’s relationship doesn’t go too fast.

“All Madonna cares about is her daughter and she is fiercely protective. There are strictly no sleepovers allowed, and she always tries to keep tabs on them, which sometimes drives them both a bit mad,” a source said.

Example has married former Neighbours actress Erin McNaught at a ceremony in Australia.

The couple, who got engaged on Halloween last year (2012), tied the knot in front of a small group of friends and family at the Deux Belettes guesthouse in Ballina, near Brisbane, at around 2pm yesterday (May 18).

Earlier today, the rapper and singer, real name Elliot Gleave, tweeted a photo of himself with his new wife following the ceremony:

Daft Punk have criticised EDM (Electronic Dance Music), saying it lacks emotion.

Asked by The Observer what he thinks of their influence on the American EDM movement, Thomas Bangalter, one half of the French Duo, hit out at the rising trend of digitalised musicians, saying: “The music that’s being done today has lost its magic and its poetry because it’s rooted in everyday life and is highly technological.”

He added: “On one hand we’re flattered [to influence new artists]. On the other hand we wish people could be influenced by our approach as much as our output. It’s about breaking the rules and doing something different rather than taking some arrangements we did 10 years ago that have now become a formula.

“Computers aren’t really music instruments. And the only way to listen to it is on a computer as well. Human creativity is the ultimate interface. It’s much more powerful than the mouse or the touch screen.”

Daft Punk release ‘Random Access Memories’ tomorrow (May 20). The LP features collaborations with the likes of Julian Casablancas, Chilly Gonzales and Giorgio Moroder and also includes the single ‘Get Lucky’ with Pharrell Williams, which is likely to spend a fourth week at Number One in the Official UK Singles Chart.

Chris Brown’s vocal performance at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards has been panned by critics.

The 24-year-old singer took the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to debut his new single, Fine China.

The Michael Jackson-inspired track saw Chris giving a high-energy performance joined by a team of back-up dancers.

But his vocals left much to be desired as his voice cracked several times during the four-minute set.

‘Chris Brown sounds crazy right now on the billboard awards,’ one Facebook user wrote while watching the show.

‘Chris Brown must have seen Rihanna & Drake in the audience,’ another viewer tweeted, making reference to Chris’ love rival.

Others noted the singer sounded ‘sick’ or ‘stressed out’.

‘Chris Brown may be able to dance like MJ, but he sure as hell can’t sing like him. That performance was horrible #billboardawards,’ another critic wrote.

Some were more understanding.

‘I think tonight was just an off night. Happens to everyone,’ another viewer tweeted.

Other performers at the annual awards show included Selena Gomez, who sang her new single, Come & Get It with a Bollywood-inspired production.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis also performed the duo’s hit track Thrift Shop.

Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Ed Sheeran, David Guetta and Kacey Musgraves also performed at the event.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards was hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan.

Rihanna reportedly feels let down by Chris Brown’s behaviour, not least because she took a “massive risk” letting him back in her life.

The pair have been embroiled in an on/off relationship for several months, with Chris seemingly confirmed they have split for good last week. He told interviewers that while he still felt a great deal of love for Rihanna, 25, he is too young to consider “wife-ing” anybody.

Rihanna is said to be feeling let down by her beau, especially after the reunion caused a massive backlash because of Chris’ assault against her in 2009.

“Rihanna took a massive risk with Chris, letting him back into her life after his conviction, learning to trust him again, then going public with their romance again,” an insider told British magazine Star.

“She took more than her share of flack for staying with a man who beat her, and all the while Chris has been reviving his career. He was virtually blacklisted by the industry after what he did, and with Ri’s support – and their publicity their relationship has brought – found respectability.

“Rihanna is angry that she let herself invest so much time in Chris again and is sick of him constantly letting her down. She feels like he takes her for granted and forgets what they’ve been through and what she’s done for him – she basically put him back on the map.”

Rihanna and Chris certainly haven’t held back with the feelings, and were vocal about the situation on Twitter of late. “Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain’t for kidz #butimsleeptho (sic)” Rihanna fumed.

Chris tweeted: “Sometime loving someone is too much! So loving from a distance will help everyone grow! Be blessed. Live ya life! (sic)”

Ke$ha thinks Beyoncé Knowles is “perfect”.

The outspoken singer is a huge fan of the stunning star. She enjoyed watching Beyoncé’s recent documentary Life is But a Dream, but admits her new MTV series will be a bit more raw.

“I think she might actually be perfect,” Ke$ha said of Beyoncé. “I show my flaws – they’re real. I don’t have a perfect body. It’s important for girls to see that don’t have to be perfect.”

Ke$ha’s new TV show My Crazy Beautiful Life promises to give an honest insight into her life as a pop star.

The 26-year-old singer wanted her fans to have a warts-and-all view and admits there is very little she would refuse to have caught on camera.

“You see me making out with random dudes. I like to make out with people. But I don’t do more than that,” she added to British magazine Look. “I want to be this honest and real. In episode two you see me the morning after I’ve just got laid, looking dishevelled.”

Ke$ha also spoke about her rumoured romance with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles. While she admitted she is in contact with him, Ke$ha has denied they are romantically involved.

“Oh no! He and I are just friends. Actually we started texting a long time ago and we’re just friendly, it’s not sexy,” she explained. “I hope the One Direction fans don’t want to beat me up. I’m just a fan too.”

Beyonce is pregnant with her second child, a source has confirmed.

According to E! News, the Grammy-winning singer and husband Jay-Z are expecting a baby brother or sister for their 16-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

Multiple sources are said to have confirmed the news to the outlet although the star has yet to publicly address speculation.

Music mogul Russell Simmons seemed to have some inside information as he took to Twitter Friday offering well-wishes to the couple.

‘Congratulations Jay-Z and Beyoncé,’ he wrote.

Russell included a link to his celebrity website Global Grind, which cited E! for confirmation on the story. He did not offer any further details.

Beyoncé fuelled baby rumours earlier this week when she cancelled a concert at the last minute.

The singer is currently on her The Mrs Carter Show world tour. She was due to take to the stage in Belgium on Tuesday but cited sickness from dehydration and exhaustion.

“She is awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision,” an email to The Associated Press explained.
The New York Post claimed at the time she was expecting.

This came after Beyoncé was seen sporting a fuller stomach than usual while on stage in London. She was deemed to have covered up her curves while at the recent Met Gala in New York City.

Beyoncé has made no secret of her desire to expand her brood with Jay-Z.

The star admitted in an interview with Good Morning America last week she wanted Blue to have some ‘company’ from a sibling.

‘I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister. At some point, when it’s supposed to happen,’ the singer smiled.

Chris Brown is set to collaborate with Aston Merrigold on his debut solo album.

The JLS star reportedly asked Chris to team up with him on his forthcoming LP.

The pair has bumped into each other a number of times in Hollywood while working in the music industry.

‘Aston is a huge fan of Chris ‘ he’d love to get his input musically on the new album,’ a source told British newspaper The Sun.

‘After meeting him a couple of times, he decided to bite the bullet and Chris was open to the idea of working together.’

It comes after Ashton’s boyband JLS revealed they were to part ways after placing as runners-up on The X Factor in 2008.

His fellow group members Marvin Humes, JB and Oritsé Williams are breaking up to pursue other projects.

British star Aston is discussing music with the American singer while he is in Los Angeles.

He is apparently in America for a few months to begin work on the new record.

The artists’ teams are now in talks about arranging time in their schedules to make it work.

Aston, 25, is carrying out some final duties with his fellow musician friends before they release their final album and complete a farewell tour in December.

Lady Gaga is reportedly easing herself back into the glamorous party scene following her hip operation.

The 27-year-old pop star cancelled the remaining dates on her Born This Way Ball concert tour in February.

She underwent surgery after being diagnosed with synovitis – a severe inflammation of joints – and a tear in her right hip.

After recuperating from the procedure with her beau Taylor Kinney at hand in Chicago, Gaga is now back on her feet again.

The star was seen wearing platform boots and a black mini-dress as she entered the Versus Versace launch party in New York City Wednesday.

Gaga and her actor love kept to themselves at the swanky bash.

“They were pretty low-key in the VIP section,” the source told Us Weekly.

Apparently a few pieces of music from Gaga’s forthcoming ARTPOP album were played at the fête.

She was bound to a 24-Karat gold plated custom Louis Vuitton wheelchair named Emma during recovery.

Gaga apologised to her fans for having to cancel the rest of her tour dates, explaining she suffered the injury some time ago but had been attempting to cover it up to avoid disappointing them.
